Welcome to our news page where you can stay up to date with everything that is going on at Villa Dalmacia. If you have anything that you are wanting to either share or see on the news page please speak to our admin team.
Dear Family and Friends
As you are no doubt aware, the state Government has placed Perth and Peel into Lockdown for 4 days due to 3 active community cases of COVID-19.
From 00:01am today 29th June 2021 until 00:01am on Saturday 3rd July 2021, we will not be accepting visitors into the home unless there are exceptional circumstances. This is a directive from the state Government and Health department to minimise the risk to your loved ones.
As with previous lockdowns, video visits can be arranged. Please call reception on 9418 5222 if you would like to arrange one of these.
Hopefully this will be a short lockdown and we will be in a position to welcome you back soon.
If you have any questions or need any further information, please call and speak to reception.
Please keep safe over the coming days and I’ll keep you informed of any changes as and when we are notified.
Villa Dalmacia is looking for volunteers to join the team!
It’s thanks to the group of hard-working Volunteers over 30 years that Villa Dalmacia is here today. Volunteers are such an important part of the Villa family and we are wanting to add to our team.
We have a variety of volunteering positions, these include helping out with bingo, spending one on one time with residents, group activities and games and the occasional bus trip and so much more.
We do require a current National Police Clearance and a 2021 Influenza Vaccination statement from each of our volunteers which will be reimbursed.
If you are interested or know of someone who may be interested in becoming a Villa Volunteer please get in contact with our Wellness Manager Tanya on (08) 9418 5222 or send her an email at [email protected]

Over the next couple of months. Villa Dalmacia will be undergoing some floor renovations. All of the carpeted areas throughout the main corridors in the facility are going to be replaced with commercial grade vinyl plank.
This will obviously cause some minor disruptions, but we are keen to make sure our residents experience as little disruption as possible.
Each week we will be notifying the families who have a family member living on the wing that is being renovated the next week, as it may cause some disruptions between the hours of 8am and 3pm and your family members wing will not be accessible. The main corridor will have the carpet removed and new vinyl put in, to be in line with what’s already in the residents bedrooms. Residents on this wing will have their Breakfast and Lunch in our main therapy room throughout this week but will be able to return to their wing after 3pm every day.
With this in mind, could I ask that if you are visiting a loved one during the time of renovation, could you please visit after 3pm so you can access their room without problems.
We really appreciate your assistance in this matter and we’re looking forward to the updated flooring being completed.
Our car parks have had a much needed update with new white lines and signage. There is now an allocated section of the car park for visitors to park, hopefully this will make finding a spot to park easier so that you can spend more time enjoying your visit.
To All Families and Friends
As I’m sure you are now aware, the state Government announced changes last night to the current restrictions surrounding visiting aged care facilities.
The current restrictions are due to expire at 00:01 on Saturday 1st May 2021. New restrictions come into force for 7 days at the same time. For the following 7 days Villa Dalmacia will be following the state guidelines. That means that residents will be allowed 1 visitor per day until the health department revise these restrictions.
Visits can take place during our usual visiting hours and they will be for a maximum of 2 hours in the residents room. Masks will have to be worn at all times whilst in the building, physical distancing and hand hygiene is also of high importance and must be adhered to.
Please do not come to Villa Dalmacia if you are feeling unwell, have been to any of the exposure sites or have been identified as a close/casual contact.
Can you also discuss visiting arrangements with other family members and decide who will visit on a given day. If multiple visitors arrive for a resident we will have to insist on only 1 visitor and others will be asked to leave. This isn’t a situation we’d like to be in and it can be upsetting for our reception staff when put in this difficult position.
Hopefully this will be the last week of these lockdown restrictions and from the 8th May 2021, we can move back to our usual visiting arrangements.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time. If you have any questions regarding visiting over the next 7 days, please give reception a call to discuss.
I hope you’ve all been keeping safe this past week and I look forward to seeing you all soon.
